A Fond Farewell ...

to my little heart.

Dim Sum passed away peacefully on this wet Monday at 7.45am at home. I was with her.

She fought a fierce battle against FIP, despite how the disease left her little body wrecked. Throughout the whole time, Dim Sum has never once given in. She continued to live in her true family spirit – fight to the end, never say die.

I was fortunate to witness her coming to terms with Beauty & Carma. Towards the end, she no longer harbored grudges, she was rather peaceful when Beauty & Carma looked in on her. Although she was a little annoyed when Junior playfully tried to swipe her tail.

Dim Sum will be fondly remembered & cherished by all in the House of Chaos.

To everyone who had sent their well wishes & especially to the few who lent their listening ear & unselfish support, thank you so much.

Take care & give your cats a kiss & hug,
Cat

Don't be so sad though I know the sadness in losing a part of the family. We should be glad that she is no longer in pain. She knows she had been loved by the family. Take care of yourself and the other little ones.

Due to the kindness of Cat, Dim Sum had such a wonderful death. Certainly seemed less painful than squeezing through a birth canal. It is said that birth is a time of mourning, because it is the start of years of suffering of aging, of sickness, of losses and finally death, whereas dying is a time of rejoicing because one's journey has finally come to an end. What lies beyond...only Dim Sum now knows and we too will eventually know.

Dim Sum was loved and died peacefully and that's all that matters. We will all catch up with her 'in no time'. Take care…

"Love never disappears for death is a non-event.
I have merely retired to the room next door.
You and I are the same; what we were for each other, we still are.
Speak to me as you always have, do not use a different tone, do not be sad.
Continue to laugh at what made us laugh.
Smile and think of me.
Life means what it has always meant.
The link is not severed.
Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight?
I will wait for you, I am not here, but just on the other side of this path.
You see, all is well."

I am sorry to hear that Dim Sum has passed away. I hope that you are hanging in there and taking comfort from your other kitties.

My grandmother once told me that heaven is chasing butterflies. I hope Dim Sum is having fun chasing butterflies!

~ When a loved one dies, a cloud turns into an angel, and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow.

A bird gives the message back to the world, and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry. Our loved ones disappear, but they never really go away.

The spirits up there put the sun to bed, wake up grass, and spin the earth in dizzy circles. Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the day-time, when they're supposed to be sleeping. They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide. They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes. And when they sing windsongs, they whisper to us, don't miss me too much. The view is nice and I'm doing just fine. ~

*sniff* I just learned of Dim Sum's illness and passing. Too much working lately, so I'm going home to hug my kitties, my boy, and my husband, though not necessarily in that order. That's more important. Skritches to Alex and Junior, Beauty and Carma from us.

Cat,

We're all very sorry for your loss and also, for not responding sooner. Somehow, in the past busy days, we missed this, and yet, we wanted to still tell you we feel for you. May Dim Sum be greeted by all those who went before her and feel like her old kitten-self.
